Bellingham, Wash. — DigitalSoaps LLC, in partnership with Funimation Entertainment, is releasing a series of highly detailed soaps based on the Attack on Titan anime series.
The soaps will be released in March, as excitement builds for the premier of Attack on Titan Season 2 in April in Japan.
“Our goal is to serve our fans by introducing new and unexpected soaps to our product lineup,” DigitalSoaps Owner Chrystal Doucette said. “These Attack on Titan soaps are an excellent fit. We think the designs will really speak to fans.”
The anime series takes place in the future, when most of humanity has been wiped out by Titans. All that remains of the human population now resides in cities surrounded by walls. But the walls can’t keep the Titans out forever.
Attack on Titan has been hugely popular with audiences since first premiering in the U.S. in 2013. Fans are now eagerly awaiting the release of the new season.
The first soaps to be released include badge soaps representing the Scout Regiment, Garrison Regiment, and Military Police Regiment, and wall hanging soaps for Wall Maria, Wall Rose, and Wall Sina.
Doucette said that when she began pursuing official licensing for her geeky soaps in 2016, Funimation Entertainment was a top choice for companies to work with. She met with representatives of the company at the Licensing Expo in Las Vegas the same year. The soaps have been in the planning stages ever since, and are finally ready to hit the shelves.
“I wanted to make a soap bar that would really speak to fans like myself, and I think I’ve accomplished that,” Doucette said. “These soaps look awesome, and they smell fantastic.”
